How we handle your data and privacy

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: May 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how RapServ ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares your personal information when you use the RapidClean mobile application, our website at rapserv.com, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). Please read this policy carefully. By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described here.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This policy applies to all users of the Platform:

  • Customers who browse laundromats and place laundry service orders.
  • Riders who complete pickup and delivery runs.
  • Vendors (laundromat owners) who list and fulfill services.

Where practices differ by user role, we note this explicitly. You may browse parts of the Platform as a guest without creating an account; additional data is collected when you sign in or place an order.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

CategoryDetails
Location dataApproximate and precise GPS coordinates when you use the app — to find nearby laundromats (Customers), confirm delivery locations, navigate during active runs (Riders), and support map-based features (Vendors). Location is collected while the app is in use; Riders may also transmit location updates during active delivery runs.

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect

To avoid confusion, the Platform currently does not:

  • Use Firebase Analytics, advertising identifiers (Advertising ID / GAID), or third-party analytics, crash reporting, or attribution SDKs (such as AdMob, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Sentry, or Crashlytics).
  • Display ads or sell your personal information.
  • Read your SMS messages, contacts, calendar, installed apps, or web browsing history.
  • Process payment card numbers, bank account details, or other payment credentials inside the app.

2.4 Information from Third Parties

SourceData Received
Google Maps & PlacesGeocoded addresses, place search results, and map-related location processing when you search for or confirm an address

Some address and location data you provide is transmitted directly to Google to enable map, geocoding, and autocomplete features. That sharing is described further in Section 4.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

Service Delivery

  • Creating and managing your account.
  • Processing orders and coordinating pickups and deliveries between Customers, Riders, and Vendors.
  • Displaying nearby laundromats and search results based on your location or search terms.
  • Enabling real-time order tracking and status updates.

Communication

  • Sending push notifications about order status, confirmations, and service updates via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
  • Responding to support requests and resolving disputes.

Safety and Verification

  • Verifying Rider details and using pickup or delivery photos to confirm item condition and reduce disputes.

Legal and Compliance

  • Complying with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access.
  • Enforcing our Terms of Service.

We do not use your information for advertising, behavioral analytics, or selling data to third parties.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below.

4.1 With Other Platform Users

  • Customers see Vendor name, location, services, and ratings. Vendors see Customer name and delivery details needed to fulfill an order.
  • Riders see Customer name, pickup and delivery details, and Vendor name and address for active runs. Customers may see Rider status during an active delivery.

4.2 With Service Providers

We share data with third-party service providers who process it on our behalf under confidentiality obligations:

ProviderPurposeData Shared
Google (Maps & Places)Address autocomplete, geocoding, and map displayLocation coordinates and address search queries you enter
Firebase / Google (FCM)Push notification deliveryFCM device token
Cloud hosting / backend infrastructureStoring and processing application dataData needed to operate the Platform

We do not currently use a third-party in-app payment processor. Payment method preferences are stored as part of your order record; actual payment for services is handled according to the method selected (for example, cash on pickup), outside any in-app card processing flow.

4.3 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of RapServ, our users, or the public.

4.4 Business Transfers

If RapServ is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Location Data

Location is important to how the Platform works:

  • In-use location is collected while the app is open to show nearby laundromats, confirm addresses, and support navigation features.
  • Real-time location for active Riders may be transmitted to our servers during a delivery run to support live tracking and dispatch.
  • Location and address search data may be sent to Google Maps & Places to provide map and autocomplete functionality.
  • Location data is not sold and is not used for advertising.
  • You can revoke location permission in your device settings. Some features — such as finding nearby laundromats or live rider tracking — may not work without location access.

6. Camera and Photo Library

  • Camera and photo library permissions are used by Riders to capture or attach verification photos at pickup or delivery stops.
  • Photos are uploaded to our secure backend and are not shared publicly.
  • Verification photos are optional in some flows, but Riders may be unable to complete certain verification steps without granting camera or photo access.
  • You may revoke these permissions in your device settings at any time.

7. Push Notifications and Firebase

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) only to deliver push notifications about orders, account activity, and service updates. We do not use Firebase Analytics or other Firebase measurement products in the mobile app.

Your FCM token is stored on our servers and transmitted to Google's infrastructure solely for notification delivery. You can disable push notifications in your device settings; doing so may mean you miss important order updates.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specifically:

  • Account data is retained until you delete your account, plus a short grace period to resolve pending disputes or reactivation requests.
  • Order and transaction records are retained for up to 7 years where required for legal, tax, or compliance purposes.
  • Verification photos are retained for up to 90 days after the associated delivery is completed, then deleted.
  • Support communications are retained for up to 3 years.

After the applicable retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymized where possible.

9. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encrypted local storage — Authentication tokens are stored in secure device storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore via Flutter Secure Storage).
  • HTTPS / TLS — Data in transit between the app and our servers is encrypted.
  • Token-based authentication — Access tokens expire and are refreshed automatically. Refresh tokens are stored only in secure storage.

No system can guarantee complete security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@rapserv.com.

10. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us and we will delete the information promptly.

11. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

RightWhat It Means
AccessRequest a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
CorrectionRequest that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
DeletionRequest deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
PortabilityRequest your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

Withdraw ConsentWhere processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@rapserv.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

Account Deletion

You may delete your account without uninstalling the app:

When you delete your account, we begin removing your personally identifiable information within 30 days, subject to the retention periods described in Section 8. Some information may be retained where required by law or to resolve outstanding orders or disputes.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may open external apps or websites — for example, when a Rider opens directions in Google Maps. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services you access outside the Platform. We encourage you to review their policies:

The Platform does not embed third-party WebViews for general web browsing.

13. International Data Transfers

Your information may be stored and processed in countries other than your own, including on servers operated by our cloud hosting providers. We take steps to ensure that cross-border transfers comply with applicable data protection requirements.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or other reasonable means at least 14 days before changes take effect, where required. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
